Jake Paul is best known for his fame on the internet when he first started his career as a Youtuber, a rapper, and as an actor. However, he along with his brother [Logan Paul] are now looking to make the transition from internet celebrities to professional boxers. Jake is coming off from a battle with Nate Robinson this past November 28th.

One can make the argument that Jake is a better boxer than Logan as Jake’s boxing record stands at 3-0 while Logan’s record stands at 0-1-1. Logan only has two fights under his belt, the first one being an amateur fight that ended in a split decision against KSI. In their second fight, Logan lost to him by decision.

For Jake, on the contrary, his first match was an amateur fight against Deji, KSI’s brother. On August 25th, 2018 Jake won the fight by TKO in the fifth round. Jake’s next fight was against AnEsonGib on January 30th, 2020. That was his first pro fight as he beat AnEsonGib by TKO in 2 minutes and 18 seconds of the first round.

Lukis Mac, who helps Jake with his breathwork mindset development practices and co-founder of Owaken Breathwork, was reached for the following Q&A session. Mac says Owaken Breathwork “helps people to release suppressed emotions and trauma, connect deeply to their own inner guidance” as well as “support high performing athletes and creatives to improve their recovery and access more creativity and intuition.”

VF: When was the first time you met Jake?

Mac: “I met Jake Paul for the first time at his brother Logan Paul’s house in June 2019.”

VF: What days do you and Jake work together?

Mac: “I live with Jake at the Team 10 House and we work together everyday; doing daily breathwork and mindset development practices.”

VF: What techniques do you use when you work with professional athletes?

Mac: “I use different Owaken Breathwork techniques to optimize performance and recovery as well as mindset practices to help my clients see, believe and achieve what they are working towards.”

VF: What is Jake like in person?

Mac: “Jake Paul is one of the most hard working people I’ve ever met. He is very driven and determined when it comes to his goals and creating success in his life. He has a big heart and lifts up and supports everyone in his team. He is deeply committed to pushing his own limits and developing himself as an entrepreneur and athlete which is continually inspiring to be around.”

VF: Are the techniques you use with Jake designed to keep him calm so he doesn’t overwork himself in the ring for his fight?

Mac: “I use Owaken Breathwork with Jake before he trains to help him access more natural energy so he can put his best into every training session. We use different breathing techniques as well as cold exposure through ice baths to keep him calm and relaxed during high pressure situations.”

VF: Will you be with Jake during the time he does his weight cutting before he has to do the weigh-ins?

Mac: “Yes I will be supporting him everyday to crush his goals.”

VF: And who are some of the people you have worked with over the years?

Mac: “I work with everyone in the Team 10 House as well as many other content creators, artists and influencers around the world. I just recently shared Owaken Breathwork with Travis Barker, which was very special because he had a huge positive influence on me when I was growing up. Owaken Breathwork has changed my life so it’s a blessing to be sharing this work and helping people.”

Jake Paul had his shoes personally made by Donato De Martiis of Virtuos Boxing, which launched in 2018. De Martiis was reached out to comment about Jake Paul’s relationship and if they’ll continue to work together and said “We’ll talk some more about that after his fight.” De Martiis has worked with the likes of Tyson Fury and commented Jake Paul would be wearing Silver, Black, and White.

On November 28th, Jake was indeed wearing Silver, Black, and White shorts; Nate was wearing Orange and Blue shorts. The fight was set for six rounds with the first one going Robinson’s way as he had landed more punches while Jake was on the defensive. They kept going at it until Jake hit Nate with a punch that knocked Robinson down. Jake went after him again for another knockdown.

In the second round they were going back and forth until Jake hit Robinson and knocked him down again. Jake went after him after Robison got up then with 1 minute and 35 seconds to go in the round, Jake KOs Nate to win the fight.

Jake moves to 2-0 in his boxing career by knocking out Nate Robinson in his second Pro Fight.
